PURCHASE A CHICKEN COOP AND HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Alamance-Burlington School System (ABSS) Carpentry 1 students have been hard at work building “Customized Chicken Coops” for the Alamance-Caswell Builders Association.
The Alamance-Burlington School System and the Alamance-Caswell Builders Association have worked together to offer students a more hands on approach to learning for almost 25 years. From building storage buildings, to playhouses, to She & He-Sheds, and now this year “Customized Chicken Coops” that offers students the complete start to finish building experience. We hope this will encourage young builders to pursue a career in carpentry or at the least learn much needed carpentry skills and safety protocol for future projects they create.
Thank you to Alamance-Caswell Builders Association Members, Mebane Builders Supply and Talbert Building Supply, who donated and shipped materials, as well engaged in real world work/trade experience discussions, provided valuable insights, and learning opportunities to all the participating schools.
